Why HCEF Is Building an Endowment

Written by BooAdmin on . Posted in Uncategorized

Since its inception in the 90s, the Harvard Community Education Foundation Board has wanted to ensure its ability to support Harvard education well into the future. Our primary strategy for doing that is through the building of an endowment. An endowment is a sum of money that provides income through investment. That income provides an ongoing source of funding for the organization holding the endowment.

HCEF has been building its endowment since day one, Through generous donations, smart investing, and careful stewardship, our endowment will allow us to continue to support Harvard education during both tough economic times and good. The endowment allows us to ensure donors and supporters that their support will be part of an ongoing legacy of support.

The endowment does not eliminate the need for ongoing community support. Rather, it amplifies that support by making sure that every dollar donated to the Foundation continues to work for Harvard students well into the future.

If you are interested in supporting Harvard education with a generous donation to our endowment, please contact an HCEF Board member and ask to speak to someone about your support.
